Frequently Asked Questions

1. When can I Start?

Right now! To dance with our fabulous and experienced dance instructors, simply book a complimentary dance lesson , and you could be dancing as early as tonight.

2. How long is a dance lesson?

Private and group lessons run for approximately 45 min

3. What kind of skill do I need to have?

None! Our lessons are created to suit the individual skill level and pace of the student, so even if you’ve never danced a step in your life, you’re welcome to join.

4. Is dancing easy to learn?

We are famous for making learning to dance fun and easy. We teach four simple basic movements from which new combinations are derived.

5. How many lessons will it take before I know how to dance?

Every student learns at a different pace, and every dance style differs in complexity, so it’s impossible to give you a specific time frame. What we can tell you is that after every single lesson, you’ll remember more moves than before, and improve with each lesson.

6. Do I need a partner to learn to dance?

Absolutely not! We offer lessons for singles for every dance style and couples often take lessons on their own to surprise their partners.

7. How many people are in your group lessons?

Our group classes range in size from 4 – 12 people. We try to make sure there aren’t too many people in each group so the lessons are a bit more intimate but there are still enough people to have fun and engage with.

8. How much do lessons cost?

Your very first lesson with Arthur Murray is FREE. After your first lesson, your instructor will be able to recommend a program suitable for your skill and learning pace. To get more information about pricing, please, call one of our studios (Sydney CBD, Crows Nest, Bondi, Parramatta)

We were interested in learning Tango for our daughter's wedding last year, but here we are in our second year at AM, Crows Nest - dancing has now become our passion, due in large part, to the excellence of teaching and supportive atmosphere of this studio! The journey is long and I so envy the folks who have started years ago to achieve the beauty and grace of ballroom and the seduction of Latin dancing. We are determined to continue !!!read more

We started dancing in 2009 for our wedding - and had so much fun learning that we kept it up. They have incredible flexibility to do as much as you want, on your schedule, and consist of staff that appreciate busy working (and family!) lives --- while encouraging you to always improve yourselves! As a couple learning they have accommodated both our learning styles very well.read more
